The house is surrounded by beautiful natural areas and an old cultural settlement with Nydala monastery church dating back to the 1140s. There are three nearby nature reserves and a hiking trail – the Munkaleden. Lake Rusken is known for having Sweden's best pikeperch fishing and only 3km away is Skärvalla bathing place, which is perfect for families with children with very shallow water, picnic tables, barbecue area and changing rooms and toilets.NOTE. Lake Ylen is closed to fishing during April, August and September. The house is on two floors, but the rental applies to floor one, which is reached via a short flight of stairs. However, there is a wheelchair lift to enter the first floor. You enter the house through a hall where there are stairs to the second floor. Further into a hall that connects the entire floor.
