The Tara Kanko Hotel is located in the town of Tara on the coast of Saga Prefecture facing the Ariake Sea, which boasts the greatest difference in water level between high and low tide in Japan. All rooms in the hotel offer a view of the sea. By car, this area of coastline takes 2.5 hours to reach from Fukuoka City and 1.5 hours to reach from Saga Airport. The Tara Kanko Hotel stands right next to the sea in a small port. We opened the hotel because we wanted to entertain as many people as possible with delicious cuisine. In 1997, we constructed a new annex and remodeled the facilities into a Japanese-style inn with a resort atmosphere. Please enjoy a relaxed time during your trip here amidst the rich natural environment directly next to the sea. Our guest rooms, Japanese style rooms and Japanese-Western style rooms of differing sizes, are located on the second and third floors. Our standard room type is a Japanese style room with a view of the sea.
